After a hiatus of about two months in which the Owensboro Amateur Radio Club lost its website k4hy.net for some unknown reason, we have recovered the domain and transferred it to a different hosting service. It will take a few days to get our previous content restored and improved, but in the meantime check back frequently to check our progress.
The next monthly meeting of the Owensboro Amateur Radio Club (OARC) will be on July 21 at 6:30 p.m. in classroom 18 at Owensboro Community & Technical College located at 1501 Frederica Street in Owensboro. We invite you to join us, and if you are not yet a member of the OARC, we hope that you will consider joining our club. If you are not yet licensed as an Amateur Radio operator, you may join as an associate member, and we will help you prepare to take the license exam.
If you have already been studying to take a license exam, the OARC volunteer examiner team will offer a testing session on July 18 at 9:00 a.m. in the Owensboro HealthPark building at 1006 Ford Avenue, Owensboro, KY 42301. Although walk ins are accepted, if you would like to preregister for the exam, just send an email to OwensboroARC@gmail.com with your name, email address, and FCC Registration Number (FRN) which you must obtain from FCC.gov before you can take the exam.
